Coral Heights

A contemporary family residence in Chennai designed to celebrate the play of tropical light across textured surfaces. The facade combines exposed fair-faced concrete with terracotta brise-soleil fins that cast evolving shadow patterns through the day while shielding interiors from the harsh eastern sun. A central double-height void threads natural ventilation from the ground-floor courtyard up through a skylight, reducing dependence on mechanical cooling by over thirty percent.
